Ronnie Dio Passed Away
Ronnie James Dio, a fantastic singer, whose lyrics had the tinge of original poetry and mythical stories of a stiff conflict between the good and the evil, has passed away. He was an innovative singer who believed in quality and perfection and made a ground-breaking performance in heavy metal.
The news of his death was revealed by his wife and his assistant. He was 67 years old. Last summer, he shared the bad news of his stomach cancer with his fans shortly after his concert in Atlantic City, N.J. with his latest creation of Black Sabbath under “Heaven And Hell”. According to his wife, Wendy Dio, he died at 7:45 a.m. She told that her heart was broken on the sad demise of her husband.
There was a huge Fan-base who sent their message on Dio’s website and paid homage to him. There were many close friends and family members who got opportunity to say good-bye to him before he died. His wife was very much disturbed and told that “Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all”. She was very grateful to all his fans that shared her grief and told that Ronnie loved them all and his music will live forever.
The news was verified by Maureen O’Connor who is a publicist. She told that Dio passed away in Los Angeles. He has been taking treatment from Houston Hospital. Dio had already undergone seventh chemotherapy but he was quite optimistic that he will sing again. In the beginning of this month, Heaven and Hell had cancelled the tour but he was of the view that he will come back with more powerful and magical music.
